Leaflet

What I collect

• Account: name, email, username and password (stored as a secure hash).
• Profile: anything you add, like a photo, bio or favorite book.
• Activity: your shelf, wishlist, reviews, loans, friends and messages.
• Reading spot: a place you pin yourself, never your GPS location.
• Device: a push token if you allow notifications, and crash reports.

Contacts, camera and photos

All optional. Contact emails are hashed on your phone to find friends on Leaflet and aren't stored. The camera scans barcodes and takes profile photos; only the photo you choose is uploaded.

Who can see what

Friends see your profile, shelf and reviews, or everyone does if you turn on "Public profile". Messages and loans are visible only to the people in them.

Service providers

Trusted providers host the app, send account emails and notifications, look up books and places, and report crashes. They use your data only to provide those services. Data is stored in the United States.

Keeping and deleting data

I keep your data while you have an account. To delete it or get a copy, email support@getleaflet.app from your account's address. Deleted data is removed within 30 days.

Children

Leaflet isn't for children under 13.

Changes

I'll update the date above when this changes, and tell you in the app if it affects how your data is used.

Forgot your password?

Tap "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen and enter the 6-digit code I email you. Check spam if it doesn't arrive.

Borrowing a book

Open a friend's book, tap Borrow, and pick a day and café. Once they accept, you'll both see the due date.

Finding friends

In Friends, tap add to search by name or username, or allow contacts to see who's already here.

Take a screenshot in the app and tap Share Beta Feedback, or email me.

Deleting your account

Email me from your account's address and I'll delete it and everything in it.
